“Touchdown Jesus” represents the statue of Jesus Christ and is  around six-story tall. Unfortunately,according  to the latest reports,” Touchdown Jesus” statue has been smacked by lightning and  completely destroyed.We could see Jesus Christ raising his arms in the air and looking at the sky.Due to the thunderstorm, the statue is now destroyed. “Touchdown Jesus” was the nickname given to the statue , because he had his arms raised in the air.But ,the statue appeared so giant because the frame was covered with fiberglass and along with foam.

A  strange happening took place at the same time when the statue was destroyed.According to Mark Neu ,an amphitheater also got fire after the disaster of the statue but it did not spread so much.

Many people gathered to see the disaster  , how”Touchdown Jesus” burned because of the lightning.

Some Reports show that “Touchdown Jesus” got fire late night ,on Monday 14th of June 2010, at 11:15 pm and that it burned completely.
